The Eyeline

Ashley was the first girl I saw really embodying the beachy vibe of summer. What can I say it has been very unpredictable weather in Vancouver, including many rainy days. Her bag is BCBG, necklace is from a vintage store in the USA, Purr tank top, Forever 21 shorts and Aldo sandals.

The engaging Mel of Idée Géniale met up with me for brunch when she was in Vancouver this week.
She thrifted the floral ruffled blouse, belt and khaki shorts, American Apparel navy tights and her buckled powder blue loafers are by Jeffrey Campbell.

What’s even cooler is everything they are wearing is thrifted and vintage.

I spotted Lexie in this adorable silhouette from a half block away but she was on the phone.  Now, I may not have mentioned before but here at The Eyeline we tend to avoid asking people who are busy for example; on the phone, eating, reading, yelling at their children…. Luckily only a few moments later Lexie ended her call and was happy to pose for a quick picture.  Her ruffled blouse is from H&M, Zara cuffed dress pants, vintage shoulder bag, Tiffany’s bracelet and Kenneth Cole fringed sandals.

I really liked Jennifers laid back cool style as she breezed by me on the street.

Almost everything she is wearing is from Aritzia (shirt, sweater, jeans), bracelet is H&M, necklace from a furniture store on Granville, Ray Ban sunglasses and Browns flats.

Hayley used to sell mens clothing and still uses it as an inspiration.  She is wearing a hat that belonged to her ex-boyfrineds Grandfathers, All Saints purse and oxford heels and a J.Lindebeg belt.

Ally doesn’t like labels so everything she is wearing was from thrift or consignment shops and her hat was a gift from a friend.

The floral jacket is vintage, shorts and shoes from H&M, shirt from American Apparel and her sunglasses were thrifted.

Teri is from Taiwan, her dogs name Lele means happy in Taiwanese.  Her wrestling style boots she has had a long time are from Taiwan, camouflage tights are from American Eagle and her dress is from Stitches.

Shallynn usually wears black every day. Her blazer is from Aritzia, black skirt from Forever 21, Urban Outfitters blue top and Target flats. The tattoo on her foot is the latitude and longitude of where her aunt was laid to rest.

Jake & Lucy have been best friends for a long time.
He is wearing Lucy’s jacket and his sunglasses are from Le Chateau.
Her jacket is a hand me down from a friend and her sunglasses she got from Jake.

Emma from Terrace, BC blew me away, I ran up to her as she was opening the door to American Apparel and probably freaked her out a bit.  I just couldn’t miss the moment to capture her for The Eyeline.  She was super sweet about it, so thank you Emma.  The headband borrowed from a friend is from Urban Colour and she is wearing two pairs of layered tights.

Jill from New Zealand was visiting in Vancouver for two weeks. Her boots are from Barcelona, cashmere cardigan and hat are from New Zealand.  She is making sure to do some shopping on Robson Street while she’s here!

We ran into Tanisha again, this time wearing falls hottest trends, fur details and lumberjack plaid.
